Jim puts his more than 35 years of industry experience to work as an advisor to families, individuals, corporate clients and several government agencies. With TCG Wealth Management, Jim’s duties include portfolio design, construction and management. Process-driven, he and the team at TCG assist clients in identifying their goals and pursuing them with wealth management specifically tailored to their situation. In addition, since 1995, he has assisted various state lotteries with structured purchases and sales of U.S. Treasury STRIPS bonds to manage their liabilities and distributions.
He started in the industry as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch in 1985, and after being recruited by Mike, he moved to First Albany as an associate vice president and individual advisor in 1991. First Albany was eventually folded into Wells Fargo in 2009. In 2004, he joined TCG Wealth Management team.
Jim attended Salem State University, majoring in finance. After earning his degree, he was honored to be invited by his alma mater to teach an undergraduate investment course. He also enjoys helping in the community, and has done volunteer work for local seniors and also coached youth hockey and Little League Baseball.
He currently resides in Windham, New Hampshire, and grew up in North Reading, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children: Tessa, a post-graduate student in cognitive neuroscience, and Nicholas, a design and process engineer. When he’s away from the office, Jim enjoys playing hockey, mountain biking, hiking, traveling and gardening.
